We understand that cost can play a significant role when it comes to your fertility treatment. IVF can be costly and uncertainty about how many treatments you might need can be a worry.
To help manage these costs, at TFP Fertility, we offer payment plans that can make your treatment more accessible and affordable, allowing you to focus on your fertility journey. After all, we want to ensure you have the best possible chance to start a family without any financial barriers.
Payment plans offer a practical way to manage the cost of your fertility treatment, reducing the stress of affordability. Here are several benefits:
Spread the cost – Payment plans allow you to spread the cost of your fertility treatment into manageable instalments. This helps you budget more effectively and eases the monthly financial burden.
Flexibility – Many plans offer the option for early payment or allow you to adjust your payment dates. This flexibility lets you tailor payments to suit you.
Interest-free options – Some payment plans are available with 0% interest, so you won’t incur any extra costs.
Budget management – By having a payment plan, you can consider other expenses, allowing you to manage your finances effectively without added worries.
Increased accessibility – Payment plans make fertility treatment more accessible for those who may have previously thought it wasn’t possible.
Refund options – Certain plans offer refund programmes. If you have a certain number of unsuccessful cycles or do not have a baby, you may receive a refund.
Reduced stress – We understand that financial concerns can be overwhelming, especially during the IVF process. With a payment plan, you don’t have to worry. You can focus on your treatment and your overall mental and physical wellbeing.
Overall, payment plans can provide you with the financial support you need, for a smooth fertility journey.
At TFP Fertility, we offer a variety of payment plans tailored to meet your specific needs. Each plan has specific eligibility criteria that you’ll need to meet. Rest assured, this will be discussed in detail during your consultation.

NHS funding
NHS funding is available for IVF and the eligibility criteria can vary across regions as it depends on your integrated care board. Unlike Access Fertility, you’ll consult your GP about eligibility for NHS funding and will need a referral from them or an NHS consultant.
Bupa
Bupa provides cover for fertility treatments for individuals and couples. You will undergo an assessment to assess fertility health. Following this assessment, you’ll be scheduled for an initial consultation with one of our fertility experts, who will review your results and recommend any treatments that may enhance your chances of a successful pregnancy.
Each payment plan works differently, so it’s essential to know how you can get access and what works for you.
Access Fertility
Step 1: During your consultation, we'll go through the costs associated with your treatment in detail and which payment options are available to you.
Step 2: For payment plans with Access Fertility, you will need to apply directly on their website. The clinic can provide any additional information you need.
Step 3: Once the application has been processed, and your first instalment has been paid, your treatment can begin.
Step 1: If you have been struggling with your fertility, you’ll need to see your GP. You’ll undergo some fertility tests, so they can gain a better understanding of your fertility health. If necessary, your GP will refer you to an NHS fertility specialist.
Step 2: If you are referred to an NHS fertility specialist, you’ll undergo further tests and they will provide advice and guidance on how to conceive naturally. If you are unable to get pregnant, you’ll be referred for fertility treatment.
Step 3: Your consultant or GP will provide you with a referral letter, a funding list and a list of NHS approved clinics local to you. A copy of the referral pack will be sent to your chosen clinic.
Step 4: Once we receive your referral, we’ll schedule a consultation with a member of our team. If your fertility tests are older than 12 months, you’ll need to undergo a fertility assessment with us to help determine the most suitable treatment for you.
Step 1: Contact Bupa directly to obtain a pre-authorisation code.
Step 2: Once we receive the pre-authorisation code, we will schedule your first consultation with a member of our team.
Step 3: After your consultation, if treatment is necessary, you will need to contact Bupa and request another pre-authorisation code to proceed with your treatment.
There are alternate ways to finance your fertility treatment without taking out a payment plan.
Self-funded – If you've been considering fertility treatment for some time and have been saving for this purpose, you can choose to self-fund your treatment. In this case, there’s no need for any referrals; you can directly contact the clinic to book your first consultation.
Financial support from family – Receiving financial support from family and friends can be incredibly helpful. If your family is willing to contribute, it can help you focus on your treatment, without the added stress of financial concerns.
Choosing a payment plan for your fertility treatment can be a little challenging. Here are some tips to help you find a plan that works for you.
Understand your financial situation – It’s important to budget and determine how much you are willing to spend on your fertility treatment. Make sure you are comfortable with the monthly repayment. It might be worth writing down all your monthly expenditures, so you will have a clear understanding of your outgoings.
Research – Look into different payment plans that can work for you. If spreading the cost over 12 months is viable, research which clinics offer this option. Additionally, consider plans that offer refunds, in case your cycles are unsuccessful. Whatever the reason, it is important to shop around.
Contact fertility clinics – Reach out to a variety of fertility clinics to see what they offer. Do not hesitate to ask questions. The clinics should clearly explain the costs involved and how the payment plans work.
Seek financial advice – If you are still uncertain about your options, you should consider getting advice from a qualified professional. They can provide you with guidance on what will work for you.
