Initial tests: A fertility assessment is recommended for you and your partner (if required) to provide an overview of your fertility health. This is typically an ovarian assessment for females and a semen analysis for males.
Referral to a specialist: Based on your initial results, you'll like receive a referral to a specialist fertility doctor for further tests and potential treatments.
Initial consultation: A fertility expert will discuss your results and recommend any treatments or lifestyle changes that may benefit you and increase your chances of a successful pregnancy. Together, you'll decide on a personalised treatment that's right for you.
Mental health support: Infertility can be tough on your mental health. With Bupa’s market-leading mental health cover, we’ll guide you to the right support.
Fertility preservation: There are many reasons why someone may wish to preserve their fertility. For example, if you're considering gender affirming treatment or undergoing treatment for cancer.

You can view the success rates of each of our clinics to help you decide where you'd like to have your treatment. These success rates give you an idea of the percentage of IVF cycles that result in a positive outcome, and are broken down by female age and treatment type.
*Both individuals must be aged 18 and over and be named on the health insurance or trust scheme. **Things to remember: Should further fertility treatment be recommended, it won’t be available unless you have extended cover included in your plan for additional fertility services. Employees can still use the NHS for treatment and checks and return to them or another healthcare provider to explore treatment options if required.
