Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
Insemination is a simple assisted reproductive procedure that involves the injection of appropriately prepared sperm directly into the uterine cavity. Insemination can be performed with your partner's sperm (AIH) or, in situations such as azoospermia and the inability to obtain sperm from the testicle or epididymis, with donor sperm (AID). We can help in both situations.

IUI process
The IUI process involves the following steps:

Step 1
Online doctor’s consultation
During this appointment, the doctor will take a detailed medical history, review your medical records and discuss the next steps in preparation for IUI procedure.
Step 2
Testing (home or clinic visit)
To qualify for the procedure, several blood tests and an ultrasound scan are required. You can have the tests carried out at home and send us the results, or have them done at our clinic at very competitive prices.

Step 3
Cycle monitoring (home or clinic visit)
On day 10 or 11 of your cycle, an ultrasound scan is required to monitor follicle growth and determine the optimal time/day for insemination. Again, you can have the scan done at home and send us the results for further instructions, or have it done here at our clinic.
Step 4
Insemination (clinic visit)
If this is your first clinic visit, all paperwork (IUI agreement and consents) must be signed. Following the final monitoring, IUI is performed. Usually a fresh semen sample is used, but if your partner is unavailable on the day, a frozen sample may be used (the sample may have been frozen on an earlier visit together with agreement and consents signed by your partner).
