Worcestershire Fertility is usually located at the Spire South Bank Hospital in Worcester, with clinics also run in The Spire Clinic, Droitwich Spa if that is more convenient for you. Both sites are close to the M5 and local train stations.

The Worcestershire Fertility satellite service is only available to self-funding patients, and NHS patients from Herefordshire. Unfortunately, Worcestershire NHS patients cannot be treated at Worcestershire Fertility.
We are able to perform investigations such as ultrasound scans, blood tests of ovulation (egg production) and hormone profiles. If sperm testing and fallopian tube testing (HyCoSy) are required, these will be carried out at TFP Oxford Fertility.
In addition to these services, all of the investigations and treatments offered by TFP Oxford Fertility can be arranged. These include fertility assessments for couples worried they may have difficulty conceiving, ovulation induction for women with polycystic ovarian syndrome, fresh IVF/ICSI cycles, frozen embryo replacement cycles, intra-uterine insemination (IUI) and donor insemination (DI).
Complex fertility treatments (such as IVF) can involve up to ten visits to a fertility centre for investigations and treatment. At TFP Worcestershire Fertility we aim to carry out most of these visits in Worcester, providing a friendly local service and minimising inconvenience to you. Even with the most complicated treatments, most couples will only need to attend the central unit in Oxford three times. Although the details can vary for most couples, these three visits will usually be to provide a sperm sample/visit the nurse, for collection of the eggs and embryo transfer.
The aim of the satellite service is to make treatment more convenient for you. TFP Worcestershire Fertility is run by Mr Jon Hughes who is the fertility lead for NHS patients in Worcestershire. All members of the team work closely with TFP Oxford Fertility, ensuring excellent communication and standard of compassionate care.
Appointments are conducted in line with TFP Oxford Fertility’s protocols, and all scan and blood test results are sent to the main unit for decisions to be made about your treatment. Your chances of success are the same whether you choose to have your appointments in Worcester or Oxford.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all of our patients and staff we have adapted how we operate the service and now offer Covid friendly appointments as follows:
All our Doctors consultations are done virtually either via a video call or telephone.
All your consent forms are on an online consent platform and can be completed in the comfort of your own home
Nurse planning appointments are done virtually via a video call or telephone.
Scans and bloods can be booked with our expert sonographers at our sister clinic Ultrasound Direct in Worcester or at the main clinic in Oxford for the time being depending on availability.
Counselling appointments can also be done via a video call or telephone.
