Dr Patrick Vandekerckhove

Patrick qualified as a Doctor at the historic University of Louvain in Belgium but has been in the UK for over 25 years and did all his postgraduate training in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine over here.

He spent 5 years in research, searching for and reviewing the evidence base underlying infertility treatments under the guidance of Prof Lilford, pioneering the first systematic reviews and meta-analyses of various infertility treatments.

This led to the creation of the second registered Cochrane Collaborative Review Group (The Subfertility Group).

Patrick has extensive IVF experience, having worked in three other major UK IVF units before joining Oxford.
