Dr. Jim Moohan

Dr. Moohan is a consultant at Altnagelvin Area Hospital, where he established an infertility and advanced laparoscopic surgical service with a particular focus on the treatment of severe endometriosis.

His training in infertility began as a research registrar in Queen’s University Belfast where he obtained his Doctorate Thesis. In 1992 he took up a position at the Hammersmith Hospital, London working alongside Professor Lord Winston. In 1993 he took up a position as subspecialty fellow in laparoscopic surgery at the world famous Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne.

On his return to Ireland in 1995, he spent a year at the HARI unit in the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin working with Professor Robbie Harrison.
