Nicola Townsend

Education

Nicola began her embryology career in 2003 at the Homerton Hospital, achieving her ACE certificate in 2005 and gaining state registration as a clinical scientist in 2008.

Fertility experience

Nicola joined the Essex Fertility Centre in 2006 and went on to manage the laboratory team at Herts and Essex Fertility Centre from 2011 to 2017. Nicola has played a key role in training and professional development within the field, working as an external assessor for the ACE certificate and supervising trainee embryologists and technicians.

Nicola is an experienced embryologist with a degree in Medical Science and over 20 years of experience in reproductive science. Since joining TFP Simply Fertility, Nicola has valued being part of a friendly, professional team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. She is also a member of the Institute of Biomedical Scientists.
