We couldn’t recommend Burton Fertility and Nurture enough. It’s definitely our clinic of choice when we try again.

After 4 long years of trying for a baby and going through numerous tests and appointments with Burton Fertility, we felt our dream of being parents just wasn’t meant to be but in April 2015 we were accepted for NHS funded fertility treatment. From that initial acceptance appointment right through to embryo transfer, the support and treatment received from Burton Fertility and Nurture was fantastic. Each question was answered in detail and in a way we understood.

Every process and injection was explained the same way and nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff was so pleasant and made us feel totally at ease. It was explained to us that ICSI would be used for the fertilisation process. 24 hours after egg collection we received a call from Nurture to say how our embryos were doing and we were told 15 would go to blastocyst; we were so confident we’d have a decent number of embryos and some would be frozen.

On day 5 we were back at Nurture for the embryo transfer and were told we had one Grade B embryo; I was devastated. This was our only chance and from what I’d read NHS funded treatment rarely worked first time. After the transfer I was sent on my way with a leaflet saying when to complete my pregnancy test, 2 weeks later.

On the 31st August 2015 I did my test and couldn’t believe my eyes when it was positive….so I did a couple more tests just to be sure….they were all positive…..it had worked first time with that one embryo.

Seth England was born on the 13th May 2016 weighing a very healthy 11lb 1oz.
