Louise and Alan’s story

“After 3 years of trying to conceive in 2010 we were told that we would need IVF (my tubes are blocked) we approached Nurture and things happened very quickly and they arranged all of our NHS funding.  We had a fresh cycle one blastocyst transferred (grade B) fingers crossed we began our two week wait (by far the worst bit) and luckily fell pregnant with our daughter Evalyn who was born April 2011.

We decided in 2013 we wanted a sibling for Evalyn, we didn’t have anything frozen so needed a fresh cycle again but this time we had to pay for it.  It was all made very clear and easy we paid in stages and like our first cycle we had one blastocyst transferred (grade a) 9 Months later our lovely Aubrie (Strawberry) was born in November. ­

We will be forever grateful for our children, we found everything made very easy for us, we felt reassured and informed throughout the process.  Of course we had the anxiety but we tried to not look past the stage in IVF we were at, that approach worked for us.  We know we are incredibly lucky ♥️ I also used the Nurture chat forum when having my first cycle which helped a lot and we are all still in touch via social media and everyone on that forum became pregnant!! Nurture must be doing something right.

Our eldest does make us laugh she tells people she is a RAF baby lol not an IVF Baby (her uncle is in the RAF) and every time we go past the QMC they both say we were made in that hospital.  I also remember waving at the QMC with Evalyn when we were waiting for Aubrie to become an embryo ♥️♥️
