Your treatment options for infertility
At TFP Danfert Fertility, we are experts in both diagnosing the causes of fertility problems and their treatment.
We provide all scientifically proven types of infertility treatment based on our sincere wish to help you create a child, and we are among the very best in Denmark for achieving successful results.
We always start the treatment process with an examination of both partners; male and female, and based on our findings we develop a personalised treatment plan that gives you the greatest chance of a baby.
We treat heterosexual couples as well as single women and lesbian women
IVF (in vitro fertilisation) is a method used for assisted fertilisation. In this method, the egg and sperm do not fuse in the woman's body, but in the laboratory in a test tube. This is why the method is also called "in-vitro", which means "in a glass jar".
If you are unsuccessful in getting pregnant in the traditional way, we can carry out an insemination. This involves injecting sperm into the woman's womb. This facilitates the sperm's journey from the vagina through the cervix and onwards.
Microinsemination, also called intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), is an advanced form of IVF treatment. In microinsemination, the woman’s eggs are retrieved, and then a single sperm cell is inserted directly into the woman's egg under a microscope. The method has been used since 1992 and differs from conventional IVF treatment, where eggs are fertilised by adding many sperm cells to each egg.
In some cases, a man's sperm contains no or only a few healthy sperm cells. This is called azoospermia or oligozoospermia/cryptozoospermia. If the sperm does not contain sperm cells, you can often extract the sperm with TESE.
We are experiencing an increasing demand for egg donation. That's why we have a dedicated egg donation team here at the clinic to coordinate everything around egg donation. This includes those who need egg donation, those who need double donation (i.e. eggs and sperm) or those who wish to donate their eggs to a woman or couple.
Donor sperm may be required for fertility treatment. For many, this may be the only way to achieve pregnancy.
