The report of the IVF fund 2017 summarizes above-average pregnancy rates by age cohort and clinic. This report compares the pregnancy rates of clinics in Klagenfurt, Wels and Vienna to the national average in Austria in 2017. Here, the three TFP centers in Austria, and in particular the TFP clinic in Klagenfurt, are above the national average in the age groups of 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 and 40+.
In detail, the pregnancy rate for the TFP clinic Klagenfurt 2017 was 56% for the age group 25-29, twice as high as the national average of 28%. The TFP clinic Klagenfurt was also able to achieve a pregnancy rate of 59% among the 30-34-year-olds, in contrast to 32% for the national average. In the group of 35-39-year-old patients, Klagenfurt also stands out with 48% compared to the national average of 30%. For the evaluation of the study, all completed trials within the year 2017, which were fully recorded in the IVF register until 11 February 2018, were considered. In addition, the evaluation includes those older attempts that could not be included in the annual report of the previous year, as these attempts were not yet completed or not fully documented at the time.
According to the IVF study, in 2017, there were 10,216 attempts made by 6,766 couples. This represents an increase of 1.2% compared to the previous year. The relationship between age groups of women and number of experiments per couple is also evident from the study. Accordingly, the largest proportion of women, 39%, can be found in the age group 31-35 years, followed by the 36-40-year-olds with 34%. 22% of women are in the age group 26-30, and 5% of women are under 26 years old. This age distribution is approximately equal to the distribution in previous years.
The above-average success rates of our TFP fertility clinic in Klagenfurt are based on our highly qualified and experienced team as well as the targeted use of state-of-the-art technologies - such as the Geri incubator or Time-Lapse technology (time-lapse analysis).
