Dr Chantal Simonis originally qualified as a medical doctor in Cape Town, South Africa before training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK in the 1990s. After being admitted as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1998, Dr Simonis explored further research into women with polycystic ovaries (PCOS) undergoing IVF treatment and progressed into wider fertility issues. She was later awarded her Doctorate in Medicine for research into polycystic ovary syndrome in 2011. She also holds the RCOG/RCR Advanced Diploma in Obstetric Ultrasound.
