Mr Swanton graduated from UCL in 1998 and completed his postgraduate training in the Oxford Deanery. Mr Swanton then earned a Doctorate of Medicine in 2010 and became Fellow of The Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in 2015.

Mr Swanton has over 25 years of IVF experience both in practice and research. In addition to his position at TFP Thames Valley Fertility, Mr Swanton is a Consultant Gynaecologist at The Royal Berkshire NHS Hospital Trust, specialising in Reproductive Medicine and Laparoscopic Surgery for benign conditions. In his primary role, he has held the position of Medical Lead for Gynaecology for five years, along with seven years as the Clinical Governance Lead.
Research and teaching
His MD thesis studied women with polycystic ovarian syndrome undergoing IVF treatment and has received a number of national and international awards. His research and publications have been extensive and been awarded international recognition. Mr Swanton is also involved in teaching and supervising medical students, Foundation Year Doctors and Specialist Gynaecology Trainees.
