Magdalena Janeczko, PhD

About me

In my contact with patients, I try to be competent and reliable, but I realise that behind every medical problem lies human suffering. Therefore, in my relationship with patients, I think it is most important to be human and show empathy. I have a long-standing friendship with the families of many of the patients I have diagnosed.

As a geneticist and paediatrician, and a private mother, I realise what a gift it is to have a healthy child. With my knowledge, I try to help others to achieve this goal.

Education and professional experience

Dr Janeczko graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow. Since 2004, she has been associated with the Department of Pediatrics at the Institute of Pediatrics of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, where she completed her speciality training in paediatrics and then clinical genetics. Since 2008, she has been focusing her professional interests on genetically conditioned diseases. Dr Janeczko is a member of the Polish Society of Human Genetics, a long-term academic teacher, and author and co-author of many scientific publications. She continuously deepens her knowledge by participating in scientific conferences and reading specialist literature.
