Dr Jerzy Węgrzynowski, MD

Dr Węgrzynowski is the only specialist in the West Pomeranian Province holding a certificate in Echocardiography and Prenatal Cardiology PTU, a certificate in Intrauterine Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy, and a certificate from the Fetal Medicine Foundation allowing to perform screening examinations in the first trimester of pregnancy.

In 1989, he graduated from the Medical Faculty of Pomeranian Medical Academy in Szczecin. From 1989-2010, he was employed at the Department of Maternal-Fetal Medicine of Pomeranian Medical Academy, where he has been an academic teacher since 1994. In 1995, he defended his doctoral dissertation and obtained the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences. In 2000, he obtained his second degree of specialization in gynaecology and obstetrics. During his work at the clinic, his interests concerned mainly ultrasound diagnostics and treatment of intrauterine fetuses. He was a co-founder of the first Prenatal Cardiology Laboratory in Western Pomerania.

He has been a scientific manager of ultrasound courses for doctors specializing in gynaecology and obstetrics organized by Pomeranian Medical University for many years. He holds numerous Polish and foreign certificates confirming his ultrasound examination skills.
