Claire worked within the fields of special needs and youth work prior to qualifying as a midwife in 2002 at Derby Royal Hospital. On completion of a BSc (Hons) degree in midwifery, she worked for 5 years at Derby Royal before leaving to work at Burton Fertility Clinic in 2007. For 18 months Claire worked as the andrologist for the unit part time and also worked part time as a midwife at Burton Hospital. After this period, Claire took on the role of Theatre coordinator – responsible for coordinating all the theatre cases and giving the anaesthetic to patients during theatre procedures.
In 2015 she moved over to Nurture fertility and became a part of the nursing team, undertaking transvaginal scanning and supporting the theatre team when needed.
Claire continued to also work as a midwife at Burton Hospital part time until 2018, although she now works solely at Nurture Fertility and also covers Burton Fertility when needed within the nursing team. She enjoys supporting patients during their treatment.
Outside of work Claire loves travelling and socialising.
