Fertility treatments

IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation treatment cell
In vitro fertilisation (IVF)
During IVF, eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and mixed with sperm in a lab and left to develop into mature embryos. Healthy embryos are then transferred to the birth parent during a stimulated cycle.

Our treatment pathways

Whether you're experiencing fertility challenges, are pursuing treatment as a solo parent or building your family with the help of a donor, we're here for you.

Natural and mild IVF

For those wanting to avoid high doses of medication, you may choose either mild or natural IVF. We use fewer or no medications to stimulate egg growth, collecting the single egg you grow in a typical cycle.

IVF for over 40s

As you age, the quality and quantity of your eggs declines making natural conception more difficult. However, this doesn't mean that you are ineligible for treatment once you reach the age of 40 and there are several options you can consider, including using donor eggs.

Solo parenthood

If you're pursuing treatment as a solo parent, you can build your family with the help of a sperm donor. Through our comprehensive donation programme, we can help match you to your ideal donor.

Donor conception

There are many reasons why you may consider using a donor in your treatment. Whatever your circumstances, we're here to support you every step of the way, matching you to your ideal donor.

Reciprocal IVF

If you're in a same-sex female, trans-man or non-binary partnership, reciprocal IVF allows both partners to be involved in creating and carrying a pregnancy.

IVF using an egg donor

If you’re using donor eggs for IVF, this option allows individuals or couples to experience pregnancy and parenthood, even if they are unable to use their own eggs, ensuring a meaningful journey to parenthood.

Fertility preservation

There are several methods for preserving your fertility and what you decide to freeze will depend on your personal circumstances.

At TFP Fertility, we help individuals, couples and co-parents safeguard their future by freezing eggs, sperm and embryos.

Pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT)

Genetic Testing
About PGT
Pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT) checks embryos for genetic or chromosomal abnormalities during IVF treatment. It aims to identify the best embryo to reduce the chances of miscarriage or having a child with an inherited genetic disease.
Learn more
A needle is used to capture a small sample of cells from an embryo
PGT-A
PGT-A tests for abnormal numbers of chromosomes (aneuploidy) in the embryo. Aneuploidy embryos have less chance of developing into a baby and are at higher risk of causing miscarriage or genetic conditions, such as Down's Syndrome.
Learn more

PGT-M
PGT-M tests for specific genetic disorders caused by mutations in a single gene (monogenic disorders), such as cystic fibrosis or Huntington's disease. This is recommended if one or both parents are at risk of passing on a genetic condition to the baby.
