IN JULY 2014 WE ATTENDED NURTURE AND WE IMMEDIATELY FELT MORE POSITIVE ABOUT OUR SITUATION.
We married in 2012 and started trying to conceive straight away. After a year of trying with no success, we decided to see our GP. Fertility tests confirmed that the only way for us to conceive would be through IVF and ICSI.
In July 2014 we went to Nurture and we immediately felt more positive about our situation. We were lucky to have 20 mature eggs at collection of which 13 fertilised. Five of these went on to become day five blastocysts.
On 11th October 2014, we had a perfect transfer and our beautiful Eleanor was created. Our five remaining embryos were frozen. In February 2017 we decided to try for a second child. As expected we needed help again. In August 2017 we met with Mr Hopkisson to discuss treatment. We had to abandon our first cycle as my lining was inadequate. Our second cycle failed. So on our final attempt, we defrosted our three remaining embryos.
I had the endo-scratch and we used embryo glue. Two embryos survived the thaw and we decided to have them both put back. On 8th May we found out we were pregnant much to our delight. On Friday 25th May we had our six-week scan and discovered two heartbeats. On 20th December 2018, our 2nd and 3rd miracles were born.
We cannot thank Nurture enough for providing us with the family we longed for. They have been amazing throughout the whole process.”
